Overview

No longer content with forging standard weapons, the Master Smiths once agian seek a way to expand their skills. Their quest for fame and fortune has lead them to Juno, and through research of the ancient Juperos civilisation they discover a bold new technology - a fusion of magic and machine. Armed with this new knowledge, those elite Mastersmiths become Mechanics. Versatile warriors capable of weilding Axes, or fighting with the aid of special robot suits known as MadoGear. When equipped with the MadoGear, useable skills and abilities change drastically. A Mechanic can no longer use any of his old Blacksmith skills while riding in the MadoGear, but instead is granted with powerful long-range attacks and supportive skills...all at a price, of course.

Mechanics are an expensive if versatile class suitable for many different roles. They can handle themselves well in PvM, though rely heavily on healing potions and SP items, and must choose between the MadoGear or Axe method of leveling. In WoE, the Mado Mechanic is best employed as a supportive class, having a range of skills to provide cover for teammates to slip through precasts or packing a tactical Suicidal Destruction to clear the opposing guild. For MVP, the Mechanic can use a Mace and a Shield outside of the MadoGear in order to have access to a very fast and powerful High Speed Cart Ram while still reducing damage. They also are the only class able to use the Pile Bunker mace, which has the highest natural damage output of any weapon in the game.

Overview

These drivers of Magic Gears, or Madogear, use various attack and complementary skills that are completely new to the world of Ragnarok. By configuring a variety of Magic Gear equipment items, Mechanics are highly flexible in terms of skill customization and character growth. A Mechanic’s Attack Strength, Defense, Movement, Attack Speed, and complementary skills including Self Destruction are completely reliant on equipment sets. Therefore the Mechanic can change character attributes anytime they want as long as they have the right equipment.

  • Description: Increases attack power and hit rate when using axes and maces.
Additional Info
  • The bonus attack power is not real atk, it is simply damage added to the end of an attack.
    • If you do a normal hit with 1000 damage this skill will increase the damage to 1050.
    • If you do a 15000 HSCR skill damage this skill will increase the damge to 15050.
  • The bonus Hit Rate stacks with Blacksmiths Weaponry Research for a total of +50 Hit if you max out both skills.
  • Although this skill is called "Axe Training" it works with both Axes and Maces.

    • This 95% evasion rate works regardless of the flee of the target and is not reduced if more than one enemy attacks the target (no mob flee penalty).
    • Critical hits, long ranged physical attacks and magic still are still able to hit targets inside of Neutral Barriers area at the normal rate, though.
